Great! Glad you found it useful.

I want to clarify one point. You probably have the server that is made
available from: 15.255.72.15 hpcvaaz.cv.hp.com (an open subnet machine).

This ftpable server has a what string as follows (note the D):

X.7.03.300:
        X Window System, Version 11 HP-UX 7.03 A.03.02 $Revision: 9.30.1.3 $
         $Revision: 64.4 $
        hpa1096 R703 $Date: 90/05/03 14:55:04 $
        hpa1416 R703 $Date: 90/05/07 10:19:49 $
        350.1.7.1 05/10/90 libxd300h.a
        350.1.7.1 05/10/90 libxd300l.a
        350.1.7.1 05/10/90 libxd98550.a
        350.1.7.1 05/10/90 libxd98720.a
        350.1.7.1 05/10/90 libxd98730.a
        350.1.7.1 05/10/90 libxd98704.a
        350.1.7.1 05/10/90 libxd98735.a
        350.1.7.1 05/10/90 libsdiutils.a

This server is identical to the server that ships with the 7.03 instant
Ignition Series 400s except that it knows how to run fast on the 98550
(1280x1024) graphics card. If you take the standard 7.03 server and run
it on the 98550 card, X11 performance will be about 10% faster than the
7.0 server. If you take the server from hpcvaaz you will get the performance
on the 98550 card that is the same as available on a 7.03 Series 400 Color
VRX. This combination is noticabily faster than the 98550/7.0 combination.

The 98550/post 7.03 server (hpcvaaz combination) is a supported combination
on HP-UX 7.0 and 7.03.

In short, ftp this server if you have this graphics card and want a boost
in X11 performance.
