Vince Short) Original-subject: Updated Astro-1 Observing Schedule in UTC Reposted-by: emv@ox.com (Edward Vielmetti) A new observing plan for the Astro-1 Space Shuttle astronomy mission is now available for anonymous FTP. This latest plan is valid as of 4 December 17:24 UTC and supersedes the other observing plan files that I updated to UTC and made available for FTP on Sunday morning right after the launch. There are two files available. Both have the same basic information but in different forms. ASTRO1-2.TIM is formatted for 80 columns and gives UTC instead of Mission Elapsed Time. ASTRO1-2.PLN is formatted for 132 columns width and includes much information that had to be deleted to reduce the width to 80 columns. The time in ASTRO1-2.PLN is given in Mission Elapsed Time in accumulated hours since launch. As before, both files are available from GVLV2.GVL.UNISYS.COM (128.126.220.102). Anonymous FTP, use your local user name, and cd to /PUB/ASTRO/ASTRO-1. Both files are in ASCII and may be transfered using that mode. Thank you to Greg Hennessy who sent me this latest observing plan and whose regular posts about the Astro-1 mission are much appreciated. Joseph M.
