I am looking to buy a used station wagon. I have determined that I want the intermediate size GM station wagon. The large size is just to big and a gas hog. I had one from 1978 thru April. I liked it but my son did it in. The feature that I am after is one where the glass opens by its self so I can load items with a boat trailer attached. It will also allow me to carry items like a detacher with the handle sticking out the window. Also I can carry lumber with the tail gate down. However, the license can not be seen that way. I wonder have sensitive the police are to that. Now for the question. From what I have heard the 79 cars have a 200 transmission that has a bad history. What do you know about 80, 81, or 82 cars?
