RasterToolkit is a plug-in module for Adobe Photoshop(tm) (Macintosh version)
for the acquisition and exportation of images in the Utah Raster Toolkit image
file format. The Utah Raster Toolkit is a collection of programs and C
routines for dealing with raster images. The Utah RLE (Run Length Encoded)
format is designed to provide an efficient, device independent means of storing
multi-level raster images. The source code for the Utah Raster Toolkit is in
the public domain and is available via anonymous FTP from the sites cs.utah.edu
(128.110.4.21), weedeater.math.yale.edu (130.132.23.17) and
freebie.engin.umich.edu (35.2.68.23) in the files /pub/urt*.

The RasterToolkit module is also in the public domain and is available for
anonymous FTP from sumex-aim.stanford.edu (36.44.0.6) in the directory
/info-mac/app.

RasterToolkit works with Grayscale, Indexed Color, and RGB Color modes. It
is primarily intended for those who already use the Utah Raster Toolkit and
would like to be able to easily display and manipulate Utah RLE images on
the Macintosh.
