I wrote an X-based talk program which is available for anonymous ftp.
I have not explicitly placed it in the public domain, but I have left
it up for anonymous ftp without a copyright notice for several months
at least, so it may have passed into the public domain (note: I'm not
a copyright lawyer, that's why I'm being so indefinite). You are, of
course, welcome to ftp yourself a copy....
This is not the xtalk that can be found as part of the contributed
software directory; this one is entirely different. Whether it's
better or worse I'll let you decide for yourself. (If you want to ftp
a copy, it's on 132.206.1.1, in X/xtalk.c. You will probably also want
a copy of X/mterm.src/mterm.aux; it's designed for a different program,
but contains some include files and library routines used in xtalk.c.)
