Thank you everyone that left comments about alt.bbs.lists(.d), and let me
apologize for the delay (I promised this would be done with by Jan 12).
Based on the comments I got, which I counted to be with a narrow majority
in favour of these groups, and the fact that there has been some limited
traffic in the ddmi-creation of these groups, I decided that it seems to be
in the interest of the net to generate these groups.
alt.bbs.lists will be a moderated group, carrying only BBS lists themselves
for publication. The current edition of submitted lists will also be
archieved at casbah.acns.nwu.edu (/pub/bbs.lists).
alt.bbs.lists.d will contain discussions among BBS lists authors and
readers, and requests for lists.
The control messages should go out from casbah.acns.nwu.edu as soon as
possible.
NOTE: It is very likely that these groups will contain mostly traffic
regarding North American BBS systems. Newsadms outside North America may
wish not to receive these groups.
