Don't compare the time it takes for an ambulance to get you to the hospital with the time it takes for you to dirve to the hospital. The time to compare is can you get to the hospital before the ambulance can get to you? Also, can you call ahead so that the hospital can set up for the kind of emergency encountered? Can you perform first-aid while dirving? Although it may take the ambulance longer to get to the hospital, a lot can be done on the way. The ambulance crew is gathering information for the doctors and administering first-class aid. And usually can move faster in traffic than a car, although, I lived in Dallas for two years and I was amazed at how hard drivers made it for an ambulance while letting the fire trucks by easily. I guess they knew that it wasn't them having the heart attack, but didn't know if thier house was on fire. :-) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Is it just me, or has everybody's .signature file stopped being appended? --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jay T.
