[net.auto] Land Rovers

I owned	a 1948 series 1	Land Rover (80" wheelbase) for about 10 years
(actually I never should have sold it :-( ). It gave me very few
problems in 100,000+ miles. The funny thing was many parts were
interchangable with my dad's latemodel 109. It was fun to drive and
took a sever beating without breaking.	A movie	company	out here in LA
rented it from me for a	week to	use it in an "African" movie they were
shooting here (as a side line, all those shows you see car chases in -
"Dukes", "A-Team", "Knight rider" and even "Air Wolf" are shot in
Saugus,	CA. An	interesting place to live. Whenever you see the police
have a street blocked off, you wait to see "who" is going to come
racing through chased by a camera truck. Sorry, I'm rambling).

I would	not hesitate to	own another Land Rover,	provided I didn't
have to	drive it on the	freeway!

Aha!

And pray tell, please, what happens on the freeway?
