We thank them for the permission to make it available for anonymous FTP from genbank.bio.net [134.172.1.160]. The directory pub/db/swiss-prot17 contains all of the compressed files (*.Z) for Swiss-Prot release 17 (about 14.4 Mb of data compressed). Compression is accomplished with the standard UNIX "compress" utility. Run "uncompress" to uncompress the files.
