Bubble Gum Crisis(soon to be renamed to Bubble Gum Crush, as it is going
to produced by another company in Japan) concerns a female mercenary group
called the Knight Sabers, who wear a form of battle armor called a hardsuit
(which can be augmented by their transformabile motorcycles called moto-
slaves). They story is set in Mega-Tokyo where Priss, who for all practi-
cal purposes is the main character, is a popular singer. The Knight Sabers
are usually called in to destroy renegade boomers(terminator-type robots
with independent intelligence) who are constructed for the military by the
Genom company. The twist of the story is that the Genom company was once
owned by the founder of the Knight Sabers father(the character's name is
Silia I believe and the story has hinted she may be a boomer herself).
There are supposed to be a total of 13 episodes that will be produced(8
have been produced so far). IMHO, BGC is one of the better animes avail-
able, especially if you like a high-tech type of story.
If I am not mistaken the "two maniacs (one had red hair, the other black
hair)" are Kei and Yuri of Dirty Pair. They are special-agents who more
often than not end up causing wide-spread destruction.
