A great deal of work has been put into making this collection, and both DECUS and Washington University would like to thank the many people who spent the thousands of hours necessary to make it possible. The ten parts which compose the DECUS TeX tape are available for anonymous FTP from wuarchive.wustl.edu [128.252.135.4]. All of the various parts of this tape are stored in the directory "/decus/tex". Please retrieve the file "COPYING" first since it contains important information you will need to copy the BACKUP savesets. You should also first retrieve the 000_instruct BACKUP saveset since it contains important information about the contents of the various savesets and how to install the TeX programs. Washington University regrets that under no circumstances can it provide copies of the DECUS Symposia or TeX Tapes on any form of media, nor can it honor requests for individual files from the Symposia or TeX tapes. Questions about the Washington University archives (only) should be e-mailed to archives@wugate.wustl.edu. The approximate size of each part of the TeX tape is shown below, in kilobytes (1 kilobyte is 2 disk blocks): 264 000_instruct 31920 tex 5792 tex__amiga 11560 tex__atari 12528 tex__macintosh 13304 tex__ms-dos 6624 tex__periodicals 28080 tex_fonts 72640 tex_source NOTE: The tex__unix directory is omitted from the Washington University archives due to space considerations. The normal distribution for UNIX TeX can be found in the /packages/tex directory. You can get an application for membership in the DECUS U.S. Chapter by calling (508) 841-3500. Sites which wish to get magnetic tape or CD-ROM copies of the DECUS Symposia Tapes should contact their DECUS Local User Group or the DECUS Library at: DECUS Library 333 South St, SHR1-4/D33 Shrewsbury, MA 01545-4112 (508) 480-3418 / (508) 480-3659 / (508) 480-3446 -- Chris Myers Internet: chris@wugate.wustl.edu Software Engineer UUCP: ...!uunet!wuarchive!chris Office of the Network Coordinator BITNET: chris@wunet.bitnet Washington University in Saint Louis Phone: +1 314 726 7390
