A new beta release (beta7) of SRC Modula-3 1.6 is available via
anonymous ftp on gatekeeper.dec.com, in pub/DEC/Modula-3/m3-1.6beta.
The 1.6 release should occur sometime next week, and I don't expect
that it will be different from this beta (except for corrections to the
bugs in this beta release that are reported this week). This release
is an improvement over 1.5 and should be used rather than 1.5.
In addition to a bunch of fixes, this release introduces two new
architectures:
UMAX Encore Multimax UMAX 4.3 (R4.1.1)
ARM Acorn R260 RISC iX 1.21
Thanks to R.J. Stroud and Dick Snow for these ports. This is the first
integration of these ports to the SRC Modula-3 1.6. I suppose that
I introduced a small number of problems while doing this integration,
so please bear with me.
