Get a copy of Ken Lunde's 'jis.c' program and the differences
between EUC, 7 & 8 bit JIS, etc. will be made clear in quite
readable ANSI C.

To get the mappings into the K16 fonts, get the source of KD
(kanji driver) by Izumi Ouzawa. I got my copy by FTP from tokyo-u
at 133.11.11.11, but I daresay there are plenty of other sites
have it. Look for 'kd100'.
