Original-subject: Vaportalk (bare-bones version) available for anonymous FTP
Reposted-by: emv@msen.com (Edward Vielmetti, MSEN)

Vaportalk 1.0 alpha has been placed for anonymous FTP on
belch.berkeley.edu (128.32.152.202) and valkyrie.ecn.uoknor.edu
(129.15.22.6), as /pub/mud_clients/vt.1.0.alpha.tar.Z in both
cases.

This is not an official release by any means, just an opportunity
for people who are interested to try it out. I am willing to
explain its workings to interested people. No complete
documentation comes with the distribution archive, although
what I consider sufficient information to get started is.

VT is a multi-windowing, multi-connection client. It does not have
very many features at present; it lacks a command history, a
received history, macros, automation, and hiliting and suppression
of text. In fact, its only feature of note right now, apart from
support for multiple window, connections and storage of addresses,
is key bindings.
