That is backwards; you described positive camber. Concerning handling, see my earlier posting. Negative camber helps cornering, particularly for the outside front wheel, which is supplying most of the centripetal force. The inside wheel will have positive camber with respect to the turn center if it has negative camber with respect to the car. Ideally, both wheels should have negative camber with respect to the turn center, but as far as I know, only road graders turn that way.
