One way of running uucp (or any application which uses tty's) over TCP/IP
is to make a tcp connection look like a tty/pty.

I have a package which does this.
We use it for UUCP, modems, printing, SLIP, etc

Get it from archive.su.oz.au in pub/nd/*

Due to bugs in RISC/OS with respect to ptys
it has never worked as well on RISC/OS
as other OS's, but it only causes you problems
it something unusual happens.
