This is a subject that, I've noticed, comes up again and again.  Therefore
I'm trying to do my part by keeping an archive of interesting responses
to this question from these two newsgroups.  The archive can be had by
anonymous ftp from orville.nas.nasa.gov (129.99.23.7) in a file called
"japan-teaching".

I'm currently (on and off) researching this topic myself, and making a
vague committment to ride off into the Rising Sun about one year from now.
I'll post whatever information I conveniently can when I find it.  I
encourage others to do so also.  I think we can help each other a lot.

For the sake of information, I've read John Wharton's JOBS IN JAPAN.  It
seemed like a good guide to me, although not comprehensive.  But then, I'm
in no position to know whether it's total bullsh*t, either :^).
