I am also interested in what comes out of this survey of how many motorists come to a dead halt at a STOP sign. I make it a point to slow down 'with the intent' of coming to a complete halt at a STOP sign. I do the same at intersection where the road I am in leads to a 'apparently' wider road (in the case where there is no STOP sign, this is by habit or maybe FEAR). I do not think it is imperative that you come to a dead halt at every STOP sign because some of them are not positioned such that the driver can get a good view of approaching traffic. I was told by my driving instructor to 'crawl' in such instances. Ram Ramachandran

The law says nothing about being allowed to run a stop sign because of its position ... FROM: Brian G.
