After reading many articles over the past month on how to deal with tail
gaters and people doing 55 in the passing lane, I am curious why people
change from caring individuals into monsters that are out to get blood when
they put their hands on the stearing wheel of a car.
(In no way am I exempt from these same feelings and actions)
What part of our characters surface when we sit in the drivers seat?
Have you ever tried driving while being aware of these feelings?
When driving and controling these hostile feelings how do you react to
other drivers that are out of control?
Personaly, when ever try to control these feeling while I drive I find
it very amusing to look at the other drivers and see what I must look
like.
Try it sometime, you might like it.

What broke me of the habit? The realization that *easily* 5% of the cars on the road have a gun in the glove compartment, and I'm sure that some of the drivers who I found myself yelling at for incompetence are somewhat unhinged.
