SKK is a package of software which provides a very fast and effective Japanese input environment for Nemacs (which is a Japanese version of GNU Emacs, developed by Mr. Ken'ichi Handa <handa@etl.go.jp> et al.) SKK is free software distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License. If you can run Nemacs on your machine, and if you have a terminal which can display Japanese characters, then you can use SKK to input Japanese texts using your ascii keyboard. You can easily install SKK on your system even if do not have the system priviledge.
