Reposted-by: emv@msen.com (Edward Vielmetti, MSEN) tch410@unhd.unh.edu (Travis C Hayes) writes: I have heard from a friend that URogue is a greatly enhanced version of the regular Rogue. Is this at all true? I have found several things on FTP which called themselves URogue but turned out to be just like regular Rogue (a game that I find gets boring rather quickly). The URogues that I found were short for UnixRogue. My friend asserts to me that there is something called UltimateRogue which is complex, almost on the order of NetHack. If there is such a thing, where could I find it? I _do_ have FTP access. d86-lko@sm.luth.se (Lars-Ove Karlsson) writes: UltraRogue was a very fun game, which I played a few years ago, until they changed the system version. I've later tried to get it to run myself, but som of the code is copyright and therefore precompiled along with some file so that you can set the pathes and IDs before compiling it. I think it was compiled for the BSD system, so unless you're running BSD you're out of luck. Can't remember the address where I found it, sorry. Yup. It's at bu.edu in the file /src/games/Urogue.tar.Z -- as you said, it works just on BSD unix. Fun game though.
