Original-subject: About the 3 programs...
Reposted-by: emv@msen.com (Edward Vielmetti, MSEN)
Hi!
The 3 programs whose FTP location was given on NIHONGO last week have
the following descriptions:
JIS.C V2.0 = A Japanese code conversion utility which handles Shift-JIS, EUC,
New-JIS, Old-JIS, and NEC-JIS codes. It also automatically determines te code
for the input file. Half-size katakana is also supported.
PRINT-JIS.C V1.0 = A utility for printing out the entire Japanese character set
based on JIS X 0208 -- this is 6,353 kanji plus other symbols. Half-size
katakana is also printed if supported by the code selected for output.
VALUES.C V1.2 = A utility for displaying the various kanji code values for any
Japanese character. The output fields are Shift-JIS, EUC, JIS, ASCII, and KUTEN.
Octal, decimal, or hexadecimal notation can also be selected. The codes and
automatic code recognition are supported as in JIS.C above.

P.S. I was the original poster of the message, not someone named Edward. I am
also the author of the programs.
