For the last 60K miles my Saab has acted as if its wheels are unbalanced. Above 50 mph there's a clattering or hammering which makes it vibrate. I can feel the vibration all over the car: in the gas pedal, the steering wheel, the door... The vibration worsens when climbing, i.e. when the car is pulling harder. I've had the front aligned and various tire-wheel combinations balanced several times. And I've replaced the front rotors and a bent rear wheel. One dealer said Saabs tend to "helicopter". And I've been told all front-drive cars are extra sensitive to every little asymmetry. Any comparable experiences? Bob DiGrazia ...decvax!decwrl!dec-rhea!dec-nacho!digrazia
