tk.tar.Z - Package description:
I've just released Tk version 1.2, which is identical to version
1.1 except for fixing the "windows walking south" problem. This
was a complex problem involving nasty interactions between the
ICCCM protocol and various (incorrect) implementations of it in
window managers. I wouldn't be surprised if there are other
problems that I haven't encountered yet... let me know if/when
you encounter them.
1. Tk, a toolkit for X11 windowing applications.
2. Tcl, an embeddable command language on which Tk is based.
3. Wish, a simple windowing shell that uses Tk and Tcl.
The enclosed code is known to run on most versions of SunOS and Ultrix
in combination with the X11R4 window server from MIT. It may well run
in other configurations too, but different operating systems such as
HP-UX or System V may require modifications to the source code.

Gruss,
Armin.
