Any software announced in comp.archives will be available on ftp.cs.uow.edu.au soon after. People on AARNet can access this by anonymous ftp, those on ACSnet can use fetchfile or the ftpmail gateway. The top-level directory /cache will contain a sub-directory for each internet host from which software has been cached. Files below that will appear as they do on the original host. The system currently caches software for about a week although this will hopefully increase in the future as a request for support has been made under the 1991 AARNet projects funding. Please make use of this facility rather than fetching directly from overseas as this will help cut down the traffic on our US link. You wil benefit from a faster transfer due to the fact that you will only be using local AARNet links. Feel free to mail me any comments or suggestions.
