The phone number is +44 71 792 9535 (that's in London, England); login as Uanon, no password. It's split into 11 parts named groff-1.02.tar.Z-part-a[a-k]. The last part is 87,901 bytes long, the others are each 100,000 bytes. These parts need to be cat'ed together to create groff-1.02.tar.Z. Note that you must issue one uucp command for each part; requesting groff-1.02.tar.Z-part-a* won't work. I expect that in the fullness of time the FSF will get around to making it available for ftp. I'll announce it when they do. Groff is GNU troff and related programs. It's written in C++, so you'll need either g++ or some other C++ compiler reasonably compatible with AT&T C++ 2.0. There are some substantial changes in this release: Implementations of refer, indxbib and lookbib are included. These programs are significantly less mature than other parts of the groff distribution, and so should be used with caution. The refer program is a lot more flexible than Unix refer; read the man page for details. Parts of gxditview have been rewritten so that it works with -Tps. Parts of grops have been rewritten; it now supports version 3.0 of the Document Structuring Conventions both in the documents that it generates and in the documents that it imports. See the CHANGES file for more information about the changes in this release.
