This is an quite interresting fact. Probably thers is
quite a large market turning up due to the Coke. A swedish
brewery will on Monday start to produce "XL Cola" (stupid name).
The whole idea behind it is that XL Cola is said to taste like the Old Coke.
Time will show if they'll succeed.
Anyway, they are surely not alone with that idea. So for any
do dislikes the new Coke (actually I haven't tasted it, it has -
thank God - not come to Sweden yet) it might be a good idea
of trying any obscure local Cola-drink.

On a news show last night one of those personal note reporters was
saying that the introduction of the "New Coke" was a very clever
advertising gimic on the companies part. He was saying that due to this
change of taste coke as aquired national attention to it's product. Now
just suppose that they anounce that due to popular demand they will be
re-releasing the old coke. Thier sales would go through the roof. Seems
like a pretty smart buisness decision to me.

P.S. Personally I don't care either way, I'm a Pepsi drinker through and
through.

And today Coke announced that the old formula will be available again as
"Classic Coke." Due to popular demand. Do we all feel stupid or what?

Well last night on 20/20 the did a segment about coke. The interesting
thing is that the consumer won (in a limited sort of way). The NEW coke
stays, however they will be introducing something called "COKE CLASSIC"
which is the old coke. Interestingly enough they (20/20) had a
taste tests performed and the results, if I remember them correctly are:
New Coke:	29%
Pepsi: 26%
RC Cola:	26%
Old Coke:	19%

Another interesting point looked at very briefly was: Was the whole
thing, removing the old coke, generating all that PR, then bringing it
back planned. They came to the conclusion that is was not because Coca-Cola
is having a hard time getting the cans and whatnot for the Coke Classic into
production. But because of all the hoopla - I'm sure coke will still
come out the winner - moneywise.
