I have come across some software that may be of interest to anyone
considering a trip to British Columbia. TourismBC, in conjunction with
a local Vancouver company, has put together a Mac Hypercard stack
extolling the virtues of vacationing in BC. So, if you are wondering
what to for your summer vacation you might want to go through this
stack. To use it you will need the StuffIT software package to unpack
the stack, a MAC plus or greater, 1 Meg of Memory, 2 800K floppies (a
harddrive is recommended) and Hypercard 1.2 or greater.
Going through the stack was fun and got a few laughs when a group of
us checked it out. I suggest that you make sure to have the volume
on your machine turned up so that you can hear the helicopter when it
arrives in the opening panel and Eddie whistling and tapping his feet
if you take too long once you reach the main information section.
If you like the stack and want to give it to friends to try on their Mac
feel free to make a copy of it. I called Tourism BC and they told me
that Tourism BC holds the copyright but that anyone can copy and
distribute the stack (presumably you can't make a profit doing this).
The stack is available via anonymous ftp on cs.ubc.ca (137.82.8.5) in
the directory pub/tourismBC.

that others might enjoy going through this stack too.
