[net.auto] Moly Oil Additive...

I posted an inquirery on the net asking wether anyone out there was or had used
molybedinum disulfide as an additive to their motor oil. I did not get any feed
back form any users of the additive. Instead, I got a few inquireriers with re-
gards to its use and engine performance.

I have a 78 CVCC Honda (1488 CC) with 140,000 miles on it. I purchased the car
new. Moly has been mixed with the engine oil since the odometer showed 40,000
miles. (Its not recommended that you use moly until the engine is well broken
in.) A compression check was done when the car had 105,000 miles on it. The me-
chanic reported the compression was above spec for a car with that mileage and
that the worst cylinder was well within the 15% allowable difference between
cylinders. What this translates to is: It passed the compression test!

Oil is changed every 5,000 miles. At every other oil change (10,000 miles a
appart), Moly is added.

Two cubic centimeter of 2 micron particle size (or smaller) Molybedinum disul-
ide are mixed with four quarts of oil. Run the engine immediately after adding
to your engine.

Molybedinum disulfide can be purchased from businesses that specialize in lub-
ricants. Lastly, it is the powdered form that is mixed with the oil.

Good luck and happy motoring!
