Subject: More Saab questions
I'd like to thank the many people who responded to my inquiry
on handling a Saab. The two best single pieces of information
I got were:
1 - lift off the throttle in a corner to produce oversteer
2 - stomp on the gas when going over road bulges
Now that the driving has gotten a lot better, how about the
mechanical aspects? What are some simple and effective ways
to improve the cornering and handling characteristics of the
car?
Are stiffer shocks the way to go?
Are anti-sway bars worth the expense?
How about tires - how much do you have to pay to get really
hot tires? (Have Pirelli P8's now, 185/65)
How about fuel additives - what's the latest thinking on
these? Do they work, are they worth it, do they
harm the engine? Which ones?
What's the general solution to the crummy gasoline
problem?
Thanks again for any information.
