I seem to remember that, after the last Unix Unanimous meeting, someone was talking about Ultrix and some kind of security problem such that one should upgrade to 3.1 as quickly as possible. He admitted further that he didn't know the specifics of the problem. It was only last night that I picked up a copy of Risks Digest and found a more detailed description of the problem there. It's in issue 9.34. If anyone's interested, but can't get hold of a copy on his own, I'll be happy to ship him one. 9.34 also contains an article about a worm that affects VMS systems and is propagated via DECnet. On another subject, I was wondering how to contact Chris Siebenmann <cks@ziebmef.UUCP> now that the ziebmef is down.
