I'm 7 foot 2 inches (that's ~2.20 m for you metric folks) and being on the verge of graduation, figure I could really use a car after riding city buses with low ceilings and small seats all these years. Problem is, none of the production cars seem to fit. I do drive my parent's toyota tercel wagon fairly comfortably, but my head is against the ceiling, knees crowding the steering wheel and looking straight ahead, can't see many stoplights without looking down at a wide mirror on the dashboard. Standard vans don't fit. I did try a mini-van with a custom top on it, but I still have the visibility problem. Dropping the seat is probably another option, but then what if someone else has to drive? I am tending towards a full size van with perhaps an extended top and slightly lowered seats. But I wondered if there were any tall people out there on the net that had any ideas. Responses from short people also welcome. Maybe I should send this to net.basketball as well!
