I am having some trouble using ArbourText's LaTeX. I am using LaTeX Version 2.09 <4 Aug 1988> with TeX version 2.9.16.1, running under Sun UNIX 4.2 Release 3.5. My shell is csh. I wish to use my own style files and keep them in my own inputs directory. man TeX tells me I can set the environment variable TEXINPUTS to a search path including my inputs directory for style files. ArborText's documentation says the same thing except the variable is called TEX_INPUTS. Unfortunately neither one seems to do anything. Even if I set them to not go though the normal input directories LaTeX can still find the normal style files, but not mine. I know my style file is ok because if a a copy is in the directory in which I am working, or if I give its the full path name as the style files name, then I have no problems. Can anyone help me on this? JIM
