[comp.os.mach] Mach and its History.

  Can anyone out there provide me with some information about the 
beginnings and current developments of Mach.
References to books, articles, papers on Mach and its performance
will come in handy for a report I'm writing. 
  Information about the kind of hardware that Mach is being run on
will also be useful.
