I was reading an article not to long ago about the colors various countries used when representing autos in competition. this was standard in the 60's. I always thought Italy (ferrari) used red, U.K (lotus, brm, etc) was green. Is the white blue combination used for U.S cars ?. If so, is the design of the blue stripes on the white car a standard ?. Are there always 2 wide blue stripes ?. Any info. on this would be helpful thanks chuck gerarden druhi!vuser

I believe the FIA had a standard. As far as I know there is no standard as far as stripe width is concerned. Italy is red, England is dark green (British Racing Green), France is blue and I believe Germany is silver. The US is blue with white stripes. Sweden is blue with yellow stripes. -- Dave Williams Tektronix, Inc. Graphic Workstations Division "The 6000 Family" "The workstations that made Wilsonville famous."
