Hi, I'm trying to bring up Mach 2.5 from CMU on a MicroVax 2400. I've got a full distribution on a disk that emulates an RA82, but it looks like there are subtle CPU differences which the distributed kernel can't hack. Using the boot routines from Ultrix 3.0 (ultrixboot/vmb.exe) I can get the Mach kernel to spew the following: Vax boot: Memory from 0x94000 to 0x0 (the "to" range there looks real bad) Kernel virtual Space from 0x80000000 to 0x83000000 machine check 82 panic: mchk Looks like somebody isn't sizing memory correctly. Note that I can't get any action using the distributed CMU boot routines, they go catatonic the minute I type "b dua0". Anyone got patches for me, or a good kernel binary? I've not hacked Vax opsystem code since the 780 and I don't want to start again on a 3400. thanks, -- Gregory R.
