As a non MACH user, I have heard a lot of goodies about MACH, including OS feature enabling a program to set a trap to protect an address range. So later attempt to read/write the protected range will result in a trap (call another trap handler). Is this feasible? How about accessing the dirty bit of a page? Actually, I don't work in a MACH environment. I use Sun 4. And I need to do the above in Sun 4. Can anyone give me any pointers for doing so. Please response by email. Thanks in advance.
