Many moons ago there was talk of Mach being ported to SPARC based machines. The rapid demise of Sun-3 machines (and also the nasty memory layout problems these machine have) makes the need for a SPARC version all the more urgent. When I spoke to people at CMU in October '89 there was talk of "real soon now". So what is the story now? We have SPRACStations sitting ready and waiting, and its getting hard to justify keeping old clunking Sun-3 machines around. The 386 port is good, but of less use to us. Francis Vaughan
