A while ago there was some discussion about 3.0, limited availability, and its abilities, well the news has long since expired and I suddenly find myself needing to know a lot more. I am interested in using Mach 3.0 as a vehicle for the development of persistent kernel (essentialy a layer above the micro-kernel), and my memory of 3.0 suggests that it would be pretty ideal. I couldn't care less about Unix functionality. Can someone please point me at: what is currently available, what platforms, (I would love to find out that a SPARC port exists) most of all, some information about structure and functionality (something ftp-able would be ideal). I think all of the "official" MACH information is held for anonymous FTP at wb1.cs.cmu.edu (128.2.250.16) with login "anonymous" in the /usr/mach/ area. Does anyone know whether anonymous ftp is still a valid way to acquire MACH information? Gregory T. Stovall gstovall@bnr.ca Bell-Northern Research ESN 446-7009 Richardson, Texas, USA (214) 907-7009
