I turns out that there was a known but not yet corrected bug in the SCSI driver for the mips in the Mach 3.0 kernel sources that were released last Thursday. Hopefully no one was actually able to build and boot a kernel from just the ftp distribuition. But if you are trying to do this, do not attempt to run it until you get the MK42 version which will be out in a few days. Any one who is planing to do work with the FTP version Mach 3.0 kernel should be reading this bb or else be on the info-mach@cs.cmu.edu mailing list. These two forums will be used to announce new releases and bugs. It is not necessary to read both of them as important annoncements will be posted to both lists. To be added or removed from info-mach send mail to info-mach-request@cs.cmu.edu.
