I think we should call it Clyde.  Or maybe a "discus" (anyone try one
of them out as a Frisbee yet?).  Ah - I know, the Generally Rewritable
Optical Secondary Storage device:  GROSS

or, the Rewritable Optical Disk - ROD
or, Yet Another WORM, NeXT? - YAWN

Some NeXT personnel (from both sales and engineering) are using the term OD
(oh dee) as an abbreviation for optical disk, at least in conversation.

Aside:  Watch what you say when in a room with a cube -- NextBug is real.
