OK. Now that I've managed to get a crude playback of that voice mail message posted a while back, I would like to find out what the real encoding scheme is. Is it 8-bit mu-law? Does anyone have a table handy to interpolate it to 8-bit linear? For those who have been in suspense for weeks, the message went: "Tom, get up! Get up! Time to go to work! ... Aaaahhh!"
