Recently someone posted a hack which will give a user program control before the Workspace Manager starts. What I want to do is get control afterwards so that I can start a bunch of windows whenever I log in (put a window for the VAX here, and a window for Emacs there,...). I've tried RTFM but I can't find anything that helps. Is there some startup or initialization file that the Workspace Manager looks for? If not, is there some hack which will let me start up a bunch of windows like this? Hacking the defaults database doesn't sound too appetizing, because I don't want this to happen to just anybody (reads, it's a public machine).
