As more and more groups are acquiring NeXTs, we are seeing a lot of discussion of how to set them up in a public lab type of environment. There are sure to be several approaches to this issue, and that is good. On the other hand, some approaches are likely to be better than others, which is bad for people who end up at places that do it badly, whether due to bad luck or lack of Unix expertise or whatever. It seems to me that it would be very *smart* of NeXT to support lots of sharing of ideas on this topic. The discussion here is one important source of sharing, but what I have in mind is that it is time for NeXT to collect a dozen or so support folk from the schools and developers leading the pack, and bring them together for a week to discuss "standards" for configuring public labs. lee
