Who originally did it? I posted a little too quickly. Are You Gonna Be There may or may not have been done originally by the Chocolate Watchband. It was not written by anyone in the band, but is credited to McElroy. This same person wrote songs that the Standell's did, and both the CW and the Standells were produced by the same guy (Ed Cobb). So this person may have just been a writer working with Cobb. Anyone out there know who did the original version of "Are you Gonna Be There"?
