So, we've got one NeXT box used by our department, but most people can't get to it easily. It's ultra-fast when you telnet in, however. So the result is, a lot of people use the NeXT box remotely. Unfortunately, we end up using a castrated version of the cube because of this. Any way to get the functionality of, for example, the Digital Librarian from a terminal? How about printing or editing a write-now file? Or an RTF Edit file? Is any support planned? Another thing that's common is people logging in to a Sun, uVax or IBM-RT and running X, and wanting to suck cycles from another machine. This would be greatly facilitated if we had X libraries for the NeXT box. Absurd as that sounds, has anyone tried running X applications with the DISPLAY environment variable set to something reasonable? One last thing that'll seem silly. Can we get C++ for the Cube? --- Doug.deJ
