[net.auto] Volvo's saftey

piermarini@pisces.DEC (Paul Piermarini X3157) (08/20/85)

You may not believe that volvo's are the safest cars in the world
there are a couple other models that are just as safe probably,(foreign)
i guess the best test to prove it to yourself is to take a walk through
a junk yard and compare the volvo's to other models to see how they held up
in simular cases.

I own two volvo's and don't really own them for there safety(though it
nice to know) but i own them for there comfort, ease of driving and
handling ability...plus they look good.

How the hell can you make a comparison without knowing the
exact details of the crash each car was involved in?

Of course there are probably lots of dead Volvos to look at
in any boneyard :-)

Also, the request had to do with the new model 740, so finding
ANY in a junkyard is unlikely?

PS: has anyone int netland purchased a 740 or 760? Let me know
how you like it. Mail will be fine, and I will summarize to the net.
