[net.auto] Ignition problems on 231/V6

To the person who mentioned radio noise:

High performance silicon jacketed wires are the way to go, but must be carbon
core so that they do not interfere with the stereo. Copper core wires
(which you might have), interfere with the stereo much more, no matter how
insulated the wires are. There are some alternatives: If you really want
copper core wire, buy a noise supressor for the power line to the stereo
(and amp if you have one). Radio Shack makes a couple that do the job
rather well. Or switch to carbon from copper. If you catch wires at
a good price (Super Shops sales, probably others), both alternatives will
cost you about the same amount of money.

Don't knock your Buick 231/V6. It is a very well designed and powerful
engine. I have noticed the past year or two, they are starting to use
them in some of the smaller classes of funny car drag races. From some
of the specs I have seen, they can get more horsepower per cube from
a V6 (bored of course), than from a V8, with similar accessories.
