We are trying to do some Obj-C/IB/Sybase programming. The problem is this: /usr/include/objc/objc.h:17: conflicting types for `BOOL' /usr/sybase/include/sybfront.h:137: previous declaration of `BOOL' Well, call us wimps, but we weren't inclined to go modifying either of these include files. We've got another problem. We're not really sure how to fudge the Makefile.preamble to get things just right. Ours has taken a number of forms, but currently looks like this: CFLAGS = -I/usr/sybase/include -L/usr/sybase/lib -lsybdb -lm However this still gets us: AllTypes.m:53: warning: implicit declaration of function `dbsetlname' The folks at NeXT have promised to get a sample IB-based application from Sybase sometime, but we're not that patient. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Brian Skinner and Roger Rosner Lighthouse Design, Ltd. Usenet: ...!uunet!lighthouse!lighthouse Internet: lighthouse@lighthouse.com Phone: 301-907-4621
