When you use the NeXT email and attach files (as in voice files) it adds rfc822-like headers, "Attachment: ...". Does anyone know where the syntax of these headers is documented? Is the format of these headers being discussed for a future rfc? (I notice that rfc1049, which talks about a "content-type: ..." header is the closest thing to the "Attachment: ...", but the former is really about sending an entire message in some specific format.)

It adds: Next-Attachment: .tar.864.mailer_text.attach, 2738, 1/1, 3828, 0 ^^^ ^^^^ ^^^^ ^ process id??? body size HELP! HELP! ^^^ for large messages, i assume??? I assume the proper place to documented is Mail Help 7.6.

HELP! ^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^ wrong!! This is a multiple of 66 -- has something to do with the number of lines in the message. I think. John Carlson carlson@tis.llnl.gov
